Reen's Bed and Breakfast is a comfortable homey alternative to a hotel. Located in northwest Rochester's Maplewood Neighborhood, it is just three miles north of downtown and four miles south of Lake Ontario. Easy access to expressways
means it's minutes from anywhere.
The Murphy family was the first to live here
in 1910. Rose, Irene and Calissa, three of the
six Murphy children, lovingly cared for their
home for sixty years. The Julians and the Clarks were residents in the 1970s and 1980s and the Saltrellis have been here since 1989.
There are two porches, two sitting rooms with fire places and
beamed ceilings, two oak staircases, leaded windows, hardwood floors, two original bathrooms with footed tubs, a powder room, unpainted oak woodwork galore and a stained
glass window.
Hostess Irene Zaremski-Saltrelli opened Reen's in 2004.
